The Overhills Food Voucher Project

This ongoing project has now successfully been in action since October 2024, and although our efforts are just a drop in the ocean of food insecurity, we have helped approximately 56 families during the past eight months.

The Trustees have decided to continue with this project for at least another six months, when it will again be reviewed and re-evaluated. Times are tough and there is no let-up in hardships for vulnerable families, especially single parent families, and especially child-headed households.

In collaboration with Kleinmond Child Welfare, we identify the most needy families in the Overhills and Proteadorp communities in Kleinmond on a monthly basis, and on average every month eight different families receive food vouchers.

The Rooiels Outreach is committed to finding ways to uplift vulnerable persons in the community in such a way as to not only give hand-outs, but to assist people to take an active role in the improvement of their circumstances.

We would like to thank the kind donors who are regularly contributing to this project, your caring makes a difference.
