Rooiels Outreach Trust Art Auction

Youth Day, the Winter Solstice and a village. Twenty artists and twenty-three artworks. Separate entities come together to celebrate the importance of Connection, Community and Creativity.

Six months ago, twenty artists were approached to donate an artwork for the Rooiels Outreach Trust Art Auction. On hearing the need, they all unflinchingly headed the call and delivered an exceptional collection that was auctioned on 14 June 2025 at Gossip Corner Restaurant, Rooiels.

The Rooiels Outreach Trust exemplifies the adage “it is more blessed to give than to receive”, an example that was followed, alongside the artists, by the bidders, online and on site, the dapper auctioneer Andy Hubner, the staff at Gossip Corner, the crew that worked behind the scenes to facilitate the evening’s success and supporters who encouraged and cheered with delight as each bid was concluded.

The evening celebrated the joy of the community. It facilitated connection. It celebrated creativity. The evening concluded with the gift of generosity and the willingness to make a difference, one small artwork at a time.
