Community Plant Sale

With the weather playing along, the Rooiels community came out in support of the endemic plant sale, held in a beautiful local garden. Thanks to the recent soaking rains, the soil was well-prepared to receive new plants, shrubs, and trees.

Local residents Dine and Graham kindly offered their garden as the venue, providing a stunning natural backdrop for displaying all the plants available for purchase. Before making a final decision, visitors had the luxury of walking through the garden and viewing the plants in a natural setting—making it easier to visualise how they might look in their own gardens. This thoughtful approach played a key role in the success of the sale.

Those who attended the fundraiser on Friday afternoon were treated to a glass of wine, while Saturday morning visitors enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee.

The plant sale was a resounding success, and the funds raised will go towards supporting the projects outlined in our mandate.
