Donation of pillows and pillow slips to the Overstrand Youth Care Centre.
The Rooiels Outreach Trust works closely with the Overstrand Youth Care Centre, which falls within the jurisdiction of Kleinmond Child Welfare. The centre houses and cares for 25 children who have had to be removed from their homes and families for various reasons by the state.
We were approached by the manager of the Youth Care facility for pillows for the children, as theirs were really old and worn out.
The Trustees made a quick decision to help, and within a few days we presented 25 pillows and brand-new pillow slips to the manager, who will surprise the kids with the new pillows when they return to the home after the school holidays.
We are pleased to be able to make a small difference to the lives of these children, who need to feel loved and cared for.
