On Saturday 20th September 2025 the Kleinmond Eco Outreach, consisting of 39 senior citizens, as well as 45 young children, who call themselves “Strandlopertjies”, took part in a collective beach cleaning effort to celebrate International Coastal Cleanup Day 2025.
Our Rooiels Outreach team observed this important international day by being there to encourage and reward all participants by handing out ice creams, and to celebrate the impact made by all the enthusiastic participants’ efforts on the main beach in Kleinmond. In total 165 kilograms of rubbish was collected.
