Pannekoek

Brigadoon is a Memory Centre situated in Bettys Bay, home to twenty-six permanent individuals.

On 19th June 2024, members of the Rooiels Outreach Team and local residents from Pringle Bay and Rooiels enjoyed a fun filled afternoon baking and serving “pannekoek” to residents and staff. There was great anticipation while the pannekoek were being made, and the finished product did not disappoint. Some residents were granted more than their allocated pannekoek, causing much delight for those who managed to score a few extra.

Each resident was also donated two “bibs” to be used during and after mealtimes. This helps the staff to keep the residents clean and fresh during and after meals.

These bibs were made with great love by a Rooiels resident.

The collective efforts made by all, made the afternoon a most enjoyable event.
