In recognition of all the service providers who serve us as a community tirelessly through the year, we reached out to our village community to bake cookies for us. We got together on a morning packing all the cookies into bags. We were overwhelmed by the response, and we managed to make up eighty-nine baggies. A fun filled morning was had by some Rooiels ladies and one man, who came together for this community effort.
The goodie bags were delivered to various places including the Kleinmond community clinic, SAPS, Child Welfare, Waste management and the “ honeysucker” staff. We gave our heartfelt thanks to these individuals who give of their time and service to us tirelessly throughout the year without much thanks from the public. There were many smiles of appreciation and anticipation of the delicious cookies received.
