The Lego Project was initiated by the Outreach Trust to improve early childhood development in the Betty’s Bay and Kleinmond Communities.
Through the generous donation by the NGO ‘Care for Education’, lego has been provided to the following schools:
- Pikkewyntjies
- Heideland
- Kidscan
- Siyabulela
- Youth Care Centre
These school reach over 400 children through the ages 2 to 14.
Care for Education has provided training to 10 teachers from these schools so that they can understand how lego can be used in the classroom to further early childhood development goals.
A key benefit is that the kids have fun whilst learning.
The Outreach Trust obtains regular feedback so that we can understand how we can further support the schools
