Our year of supporting organisations that care for young children got off to a wonderful start with an impromptu visit by a Rooiels Outreach trustee to the Heartlands Baby Sanctuary.
Heartlands Baby Sanctuary
The visit was made to deliver a generous donation of hand-knitted baby jerseys and beanies to the infants being lovingly cared for at Heartlands. Each item was carefully knitted by a dedicated group of ladies in the United Kingdom, inspired to use their skills to make a meaningful difference. Little did they know that their creations would travel across the ocean to bring comfort and warmth to babies in an African sanctuary.
For safety and privacy reasons, casual visitors are not permitted inside the facility, and no photographs could be taken of the babies wearing their new garments. Even so, we are confident that these lovingly made jerseys and beanies will keep the babies warm, cosy, and wrapped in the knowledge that they are deeply cared for.
Dear Rooiels Outreach,
Wishing you a prosperous new year and may 2026 be filled with many happy and joyful moments. A new year is often filled with excitement and cheerful beginnings. For the children placed in Heartlands, they are still in a season of hurt, loneliness and the trauma of abuse. By supporting us with your donation, we collectively, can give hope where it might have been lost. Thank you for supporting the vulnerable children placed in our care.
Cheerful Greetings
