Brigadoon Village is a memory centre located in Bettys Bay, a coastal village nestled between Kleinmond and Pringle Bay on the southern Cape coast. The residents of the centre were once again treated to beautifully packed Rooiels Outreach Christmas gift bags, containing sweet treats, toiletries, and some fun items.

Leonora, her friend Yvonne, and Karin, who morphed into Christmas elves, packed the gift bags, and Wolfgang helped with the delivery to the centre. The contents of the hampers are donated by members of our local communities, from both Rooiels and Pringle Bay.
On Christmas eve, the residents were treated to a carol sing-along with their carers, and the following day excitement mounted as they awaited the arrival of Father Christmas, ably played by JC, director of the facility. There is much excitement as gifts were handed out, and the residents took great delight in their Rooiels Outreach gift bags. A delicious Christmas Lunch followed, and some residents enjoyed happy visits from family and friends later in the day.
The spirit of Christmas is tangible at Brigadoon, and it gives us great joy to be able to be part of these festive activities.
For Easter this year, Wolfgang, Leonora and Karin, this time in their Easter Bunny disguise, again packed and delivered delicious Easter gift bags to Brigadoon. This time the baggies are full of sweet delights, easter eggs and chocolates.
Although these gifts may induce a sugar rush, the delight on the faces of the residents is blatantly evident, and we are grateful to be able to brighten up their days in such a small way.
